KY Granted 3,110 66/100 ac by Rev War Bounty Land Warrant #1627, date d 8/22/1783. 7 yrs Lt., VA Line. record also found in book "Old Kentuc ky Entries and Deeds", Military Warrants section.

Since he died in Cocke Co., TN abt 1807, the KY land warrant may hav e been the legacy that brought his heirs, possibly including Sarah Con way, by then wife of Amos Goodman, to Kentucky.

Records in Greene Co. TN show brothers William, George, Henry and Jose ph Conway settled there between 1780-1790. Joseph came there from Virg inia by way of Highland Co. Ohio where he had received a RW land gran t for 3110 acres. His will, written in Cocke Co. TN but probated in Hi ghland Co. OH (Record Book A, page 191) lists wife, Sarah, sons Edwar d Turner, Joseph, Peter, Charles, William Turner, unborn child (late r James Turner Porter); daughters Elizabeth and Sarah. Indications ar e that one of children remained in Ohio (Charles?).
