In sworn testimony at her widow's pension hearing in 1837, Anna Kimberly stated that her children were all above the age of 16 when Charles Beaujean died in 1799. This suggests a 1783 birth year for Nancy.

Nancy received her father's Revolutionary war pension after her mother died in 1844. She was then called Nancy Huff. There was definitely a late marriage to a Mr. Huff. No known children. She is on the 1860 census in Albion village, Barre Twp, Orl eans Co, NY as Nancy A. Huff, aged 75, born Woodbury, Coonnecticut. Estimated birth year from census about 1784. Nancy is living in the same place on the 1870 census, aged 85. Albion is in far northwest NY near Niagra Falls and Lake Ontario. Albio n is 123 miles from Chautauqua, so Nancy was not living very near any Beaujeans in her old age.

According to records of Beaujean genealogist Donna Keith, Nancy Alma Beaujean died in Kent Cliffs NY, (east of the Hudson River) aged about 87. This is 366 miles southeast from Albion, NY where Nancy had been living. Kent Cliffs was the home of he r sister's daughter Mary Aikman Read, wife of Joseph Howard Bailey, M.D. Nancy moved to Kent Cliffs at the end of her life to be cared for by her niece and Dr. Bailey.

She is very likely to be the same person as the Nancy A. Beaujean who bought land in Michigan in 1837. She would have been an old maid of about 53 then. It is possible that Nancy Alma was the instigator and financier of the Beaujean lumbering oper ation in the wilds of Osceola Co., Michigan which extended into the early 1840s. Her nephew Eusebius Beaujean had two sons, Henry and Rufus, born at the Michigan lumber camp.
