In the name of God Amen the sixt daye of June Anno dom 1622 I James Penyman of Cheping onger in the countye of Essex husbandman being in perfect memorye praysed be god doe make this my last will & testament in these words as followeth viz...to b e buried in Christian buryall w[i]thin the parish churchyard of Cheping onger....Item I geve & bequeath unto all my children that is to saye James George lawrence & Elizabeth to ech of them xii a peece to be paid & delyvered unto them upon the day e of my buriall Item I geve & bequeath unto James my said sonne three pounds of good Englyshe money to be paid unto hym his heires or assignes after the decease of Agnes my wife or soe sone as she shall be maryed to any other man I geve & bequeat h unto Elizabeth my daughter my bedsteed my fetherbed & boulsters & those things belongyng to the said bed w[hi]ch I doe lye on & three pounds of good Englyshe money & one blacke sheep to be paid & delyvered to her her heires or assignes immedyatl ye after the decease of Agnes my wife or soe sone as my said wife shall be maryed unto any other man Item I geve unto George my said sonne fower pounds of good Englyshe money two sheep one lambe & one cheste to be paid & delyvered unto hym his hei res or assignes immedyatlye after the decease of Agnes my wife or soe sone as she shall be maryed unto any other man Item I geve & bequeath unto laurence my sonne fower pounds of good Englyshe money one sheep & one cheste to be paid & delyvered un to hym his heires or assignes immedyatlye after the decease of Agnes my said wife or soe sone as the said Agnes my wife shall be maryed to any other man Item I geve & bequeath unto Agnes my said wife all my moveable & unmoveable goods corne cattal ls household stuffe & debtts unbequeathed whatsoever to that intent & purpoose she shall discharge my fun'all & p[er]forme my mynde in this my layste will & testament & I make the said Agnes my wife my onlye executor of this my laste will & testam ent & I desyre lawrence wilcock my brother in lawe to be myne ov'seer of this my laste will witnesses here unto are read sealled & delyvered in the p'sence of us Edward [Mayer?] & Abraham Chester & J Shelley
