Walter Heath, 92, died Saturday morning at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, near Burns. Heath was born Dec. 9, 1888 in Benton, the son of George and Emma Atkinson Heath. He came to the El Dorado area in 1966 from Newton. In 1915 he married Fannie Stackley in El Dorado. She died in 1960. Heath was a retired engineer with the Santa F e Railroad, having had 59 years of service. He retired in 1966. Memberships included the Temple Baptist Church, Santa Fe Railroad retirees, the Newton Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Helen Dunnivan, Muskogee, Okla., three sisters, Mrs. Blanch Higganbotham, Wichita, Mrs. Ida Gaskill and Mrs. Maude Reiserer, both of El Dorado, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
